Getting Started
Types of Appointments
New Patient Visit
A new patient visit is scheduled for individuals seeing a Physician Associates provider for the first time. This visit allows the provider to review your medical history, discuss any current health concerns, and begin establishing a comprehensive understanding of your health needs. Lab work may be required prior to scheduling a routine physical exam. This initial visit helps create a baseline for future care and ensures your provider has the information needed to support ongoing treatment.
Follow Up Visit
Follow up visits are appropriate for addressing a specific health concern or continuing treatment for an existing condition. These visits may include evaluation of concerns such as illness symptoms, chronic condition management, or progress following previous treatment. Examples may include concerns such as cold or flu symptoms, urinary tract infections, back pain, high blood pressure, diabetes management, or other ongoing medical needs. If you would like to discuss multiple concerns, please inform the office when scheduling so additional time can be reserved.
Annual Physical Exam
An annual physical exam is a comprehensive evaluation of your overall health and is typically performed once per year. The exam may include a review of your medical history, discussion of current concerns, preventive screenings, and recommended diagnostic testing when appropriate. Depending on individual needs, your provider may recommend laboratory testing, EKG testing, pulmonary testing, or other assessments to support preventive care and early detection of potential health issues. Please note that new patients may need to complete an initial visit and lab work prior to scheduling a physical exam.
Pre Operative Physical Exam
A pre operative physical exam is required prior to certain surgical procedures to evaluate your overall health and readiness for surgery. During this visit, your provider will review your medical history, assess current health conditions, and determine whether additional testing is needed before your procedure. This evaluation helps ensure patients are medically prepared and supports safe surgical outcomes.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that unexpected situations may arise that affect your ability to attend a scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify the office as soon as possible so we may offer the appointment time to another patient in need of care.
Appointments that are missed or cancelled without at least 24 hours notice may be subject to a fee. In cases of severe weather or unexpected office closures, patients are encouraged to call the office to confirm availability.
Providing advance notice allows our team to continue offering timely care to all patients.
